13 books on the 13th

There was a book sale at college today. Books donated by various people (some of them ex-students) were being sold off at ridiculously low prices and all the proceeds go towards the Students' Mutual Association Fund (which helps students in dire financial need). I acquired the following for a paltry $14.50:
- Robert Short, The Gospel According to Peanuts;
- John Stott, Understanding the Bible;
- G.K. Chesteron, Orthodoxy (to give away to the first person on my blogroll who emails me with their postal address);
- Elisabeth Elliott, Shadow of the Almighty;
- Francis A. Schaeffer, Pollution and the Death of Man: The Christian View of Ecology (I think I might give this to a girl at church);
- ed. John Stott, Obeying Christ in a Changing World;
- George MacDonald, The Gentlewoman's Choice;
- George MacDonald, The Baronet's Song;
- George MacDonald, A Daughter's Devotion;
- ed. Walter Hooper, The Business of Heaven: Daily readings from C.S. Lewis (strangely, this one used to belong to Kingsley Box who has gone to Slovenia as a missionary);
- D.A. Carson, The King James Version Debate: A Plea for Realism;
- Tom L. Eisenman, Everyday Evangelism;
- Peter Dickinson, City of Gold and other stories from the Old Testament (Peter is the husband of Robin McKinley, one of my all-time favourite writers. As far as I know, both of them aren't Christian so this should be interesting.)
In other news, I can get wireless at my in-laws', I am feeling a little less down than before and I spent this evening preparing for tomorrow's writing group.
