A month of Tuesdays

Saturday, 04 April, 2009

The strange thing about only working four days a week is that people assume that you must have more time on your hands. But really, it's like married people telling single people they have more free time simply by virtue of being single; it's not that single people have more time, but rather they fill it with other things. Spare time just ends up being filled; that's one of the things about being an adult. (I wish I'd understood this when I was younger.)

Still, I wonder where my day offs (Tuesdays) are going ...

Hmm ... only one in five has been a true “day off”. Instead, Tuesdays are often turning into extra non work work work days ...
