Attraction (Part 3)

Wednesday, 12 November, 2003

I guess what I'm trying to say about attraction is that change occurs when attraction becomes less about him—who he is, how he makes you feel, waht he does for you—to who you are and what you choose to do for him. Consider the reasons for attraction: his looks will fade as he grows older (or he might become horribly disfigured due to some freak accident like in Vanilla Sky); his and your interests may start to diverge as you go on through life, having new experiences and meeting new people; your admiration/respect/awe/interest in him might diminish once you see him as he is, warts and all; and his interest in you and your world may diminish once he finds out everything about you and your world there is to know. But hopefully he will always be fun to be with. That would be sad if that disappeared. My point is, it may come down to the choice: to love or not to love. Him. Now.
