If it works for you is it wrong?  I’ve seen so many knitting styles, most of which my grandmother would have called “wrong.”  Mind you, Stephanie’s string on the shawl was a good suggestion as I am about to face blocking a big lacy shawl.

Meant to add about blocking.  I use an old blanket for scarves etc.  It is checked in big checks and following the straight lines is easy.

Some of my stuff can be seen at http://jantesting.blogspot.com although I’ve spent a lot of time lately on the mysteryshaw2 KAL.

Well, my way of blocking isn’t really working for me. I think it’s because I didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to move the iron around when steaming and I didn’t have it pinned securely in any place. It looks all right at the moment but the lace pattern hasn’t come out as nicely as I’d hoped. Perhaps I should re-block it post exams.

Thanks for the URL Jan! Look forward to seeing what you’ve been making!
