Another item for the How Sweet the Sound markets—this time a Knitty Branching out scarf. I'd made this scarf before but with limited success. But this time I used acrylic mohair and 8 mm needles. So this:

(meaning the Lincraft Winter Warmth orange/red/pink. Dyelot: 7039. 100% acrylic mohair. 78 m per 50g ball [not really; more like 708 m per 50 g ball!]. $2.99/ball.)
became this:

(This is the entire scarf blocked on the floor of our study.)

(And here's a close-up of the pattern which has come up really nicely.)
I'm quite pleased with this one. Note to self: for lace knitting, use bigger needles and thinner yarn.
