Issue 07 grinds to a halt

There is only one thing stopping me making Issue 07 live and that is I don't have a pilot article. Ben has no time to write one. He wrote me a snippet and I said it wasn't what I wanted. He has no time to write what I want so I'm trying to get another writer. The article is supposed to be called “God the Alien”. This is what Ben wrote:

John knew that he had seen an alien.

He didn't remember the first time he saw him ­ it wasn't important ­ but he knew that this man who had loved him these last three years was an alien. An alien who had taken on human flesh.

The alien had taught him things that he had never heard before ­ things only the alien could have known ­ and yet these things he spoke about seemed strangely familiar, as though he had always known them but never seen clearly.

He often communicated with the one he called his Father. We couldn't see the Father; he had no body like the alien did. But he assured us that we could speak to the Father too. That was the whole reason he had come: he wanted us to communicate with the Father.

There was one night that John could never forget, when the alien had begun to speak to the Father. We listened, fascinated, as we always did.

“Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”
