You’re a PC girl aren’t you? No wait - you used Macs at UNSW!!! I find Macs beautiful but frustrating. I’m PC!
I used Macs in the School of English because that’s all they had. Though they were aesthetically pleasing, they gave me very bad RSI; it’s the lack of choice that turned me against them—too much mouse!! I used a puck mouse for 6 months and then couldn’t stand it any more; I begged my supervisor for a logitech optical mouse and that eased the pain somewhat.
I like PCs because of the choice (keyboard shortcuts vs. mouse ... yes, I know Macs have keyboard shortcuts but they are few and far between!) PCs are also getting prettier. They don’t hide all the background stuff as much as Macs do. There is more freeware available for PC.
