Non-Christmas concert

Wednesday, 19 November, 2003

Next Monday we're holding a non-Christmas concert. It's organised mostly by the Christian students in Arts/Creative Arts who are a lovely bunch of people that I wish I could spend more time with. Well, I will on that night!

It's a non-Christmas concert because we wanted to have a Christmas get-together (one last social before the year was over) and then I suggested that we hold a concert since we have so many talented students in the Faculty, and then someone must have come up with the brilliant idea of charging an entry fee and giving most of the proceeds to the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students who are currently in financial difficulty. They do good work and I don't just say that because they were looking after me when I went through Uni and I work for them now; they don't pay me—I, in a sense, pay myself to work for them. Anyways, we don't want to see them fold so we're doing something about it.

If you happen to be in the area and would like to come, here are the details:

When: Monday 24th November, 7:30 p.m.

Where: St. Michael's Church Hall (corner of Church and Market Streets, Wollongong, just next to Crown Street Mall)

What: A performance evening and exhibition by Arts and Creative Arts Students

Cost: $8 for entrance and supper ($5 from each ticket goes to AFES)

RSVP: Please do! to Ben

Jono and Pakman are doing something, Simon's doing something, Scott and Nathan are doing something, Julie and Naomi are going to display their work, Kere's doing a reading, I'm trying to convince Little Rach to do something, Tim's going to perform something, I'm going to sing a song and do a reading, but best of all, Ben is going to perform three songs that he wrote. If that isn't enough to entice you, I don't know what will.

All the best for this.  Wollongong is a bit hard for me to manage, unfortunately.

Perhaps you could add a starting time, pleas?
Shalom,
Jan
