Blame it on the rom-coms: Romantic movies ruin your love life.

Meanwhile, through the portrayal of women in most “boys’” movies, are we conditioning men to desire only the perennially perky and conventionally beautiful among women?

Good points, but I think most young ladies would rather a nice normal polite young man than Mr Amazing, who is likely to also be Mr High Maintenance. wink

In the longer term but they don’t know it, but mostly girls want to be swept off their feet.

Philip, I’d settle for a guy asking me out!! When you get to almost 30, as long as he’s available (e.g. single), Christian and older than about 23 then I’m willing to give him a chance!! smile

Its a lot of work for us guys, we have to do all the asking out and trying to work out if a polite yes means yes I’m interested in getting to know you, or just being polite etc.

Young ladies also have a tendency to want to be ‘saved’ as well, which can often be mistaken for true love.

Philip seems a bit of an expert on what women really think.
