Lately, I've really been enjoying the soundtrack to Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex by Yoko Kanno (on loan from Little Rachel. Yoko is pretty talented; she also did the soundtrack to Cowboy Bebop. I wish I could write music like that.

I like number three too!
I watched The Piano the other night and I didn’t like it much. I felt sorry for Sam Neill’s character, even though I wasn’t supposed to.
I think you’re supposed to feel sorry for him. I wasn’t a big fan of the movie either but the music is wonderful and very simple (which means I can play it! Well most of it, anyway). I read a very interesting essay on Bluebeard and The Piano—totally unintentional in the minds of Jane Campion & co. but still significant nonetheless.
