When we awake, we are astounded to discover that the view from our cabin is this:

Merimbula beach

After a breakfast of muesli covered in complimentary milk, we check out and go and walk on the beach for a bit. It is all very beautiful and it makes me want to come back for a holiday some time.

But it's back in the car for a 5-hour drive, stopping in Moruya for a pie lunch at a place which has won prizes for its pies but has run out of steak and mushroom. We stop in Berry for donuts at the Very Bonut Dan. I fall asleep in the car while we listen to the Almost Famous soundtrack, Led Zeppelin and The Beach Boys and before I know it, we're back in Sydney again—back home.
